Pre-Kinder 4
What to Expect
Our Pre-K 4 students will be immersed in a print rich classroom full of letters, words, numbers, shapes and fun colors. Our goal is to prepare our little scholars for Kindergarten, providing opportunities to succeed in language arts, math, science and social studies.
All students in our Pre-K 4 class will have a daily music lesson, learning to play the piano, violin, ukulele and recorder. Note naming, note recognition and counting beats are just a few of the music theory concepts that will carry over into the classroom, Musical instruments will be provided.
Pre-K 4 students will have a weekly dance class included in tuition as well as dance time during our school day.! We will provide everything they need for school dance time. For their other dance class during the week parents will choose from our studio schedule.
Students in Pre-K 4 will learn the language arts skills necessary to prepare them for kindergarten. We will focus on letter recognition, phonics, phonemic awareness, sight words and vocabulary.
Math concepts will include counting, sorting, patterning, measurement, spatial sense, adding, subtracting, problem solving and more.
In Science we will focus on experimenting, classifying, inferring, predicting and observing. We will learn about our five senses, the human body, our environment, the seasons and more!
Social Studies concepts will include learning our role in the world, community helpers, character building and other social concepts.
